BHL complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993, (the Act) when dealing with personal information about an identifiable person.
This policy sets out how BHL will collect, use, disclose and protect personal information on the Braemar e-learning and e-portfolio site. It does not limit or exclude you rights under the ACT. If you wish to seek further information on the Act, see www.privacy.org.nz.
BHL may change personal information about you from you, when you provide that personal information to us directly upon employment at BHL. The information you provide is required to create a user account on the e-learning and e-portfolio sites. Providing some information on the e-learning a e-portfolio sites is optional, the information collected includes you’re:
- Frist and last name
- Email address
- Location
- Computer or network
- Manager
- Role title
- Department
- Employee number
- Interactions with the sites
BHL will use your personal; information:
- To verify your identity
- To provide the e-learning and e-portfolio services to you
- To create an account on BHL’s e-learning and e-portfolio platform using the required information
- To respond to communications from you.
BHL may disclose your personal information to:
- A business that hosts and maintains any underlying IT system of the e-learning and e-portfolio system
- Any other person authorised by the Act or another law
- Any person authorised by you.
BHL will take reasonable steps to keep your personal information from safe loss, unauthorised activity or other misuse.
You have the right to access your readily retrievable information we hold on the sites and to request correction to your personal information. Before you exercise the right we will need evidence to confirm that you are the individual to whom the personal information relates.
If you follow a line to another website the owner of that site will have its own privacy policy relating to your personal information.
